Dear All, Tie the Knot has teamed up with Inlight Photos and together, we’re offering a fabulous Styled Photo Shoot package entitled SWEET LOVE PHOTO PACKAGE for couples be it for engagement or just for fun! It’s a unique experience to get some gorgeous, themed photos using props plus having loads of fun along the way.

Engagement photo sessions are always fantastic! Every couple should do one. They are a lot of fun to work with and they are so much more relaxed than wedding portraits so in a lot of ways, your engagement session is a truer reflection of you as a couple than the actual wedding photos.

Basically, we’re introducing this concept of photo shoot styling for those who require a helping hand with styling using vintage or modern props/decor items to give your engagement or a love shoot a sense of style, originality with lots of details. We at Sherly@Tie The Knot and Joshua@Inlight Photos will work together to produce a theme based on those we have specially created and employ a suitable one to set up your shoot and add the finishing touches that will complete the look and feel!

I loved the colours from this engagement session - some soft and some are pastel colours which are the element of hues that I had planned to shoot for a long time. Before this e-session, I had had many discussions with the couple and my stylist-cum-props provider – Sherly Aziz - from Tie The Knot on the theme, art direction and style. Again, much was also based on the couple’s personalities, tastes and likes in creating the concept; as the couple – Keylnn and Justin - are wine lovers. So I shared with Sherly about it, and we decided to have wines as the prop. Of course we need some other old stuff such as classic-looing bags, table, chairs and etc to enhance the vintage feel.

The whole idea for this shoot was also designed for the theme of One Fine Day, something about a couple who are traveling out of town for a fine and lazy day and to enjoy the quietness and sweet moments without anyone else.  Well, this is something I always wish for too, just go to a very quiet place to refresh my mind and my soul.

And now, I would like to give my huge huge thanks to Sherly Aziz from Tie The Knot for providing the props and ideas, she is so talented,  a little bit crazy and very fun to work with as well, of course so easy to partner up with too! I will definitely work and design with her again very soon for future engagements or pre-wedding sessions. For the fantastic make-up and hair styling – those were by Ruby Chia, it was so great to work with Ruby again! Here are some of my favorite shots that I’ve captured from Priscilla and Yuzuru’s wedding, enjoy!

I photographed this engagement session a couple of weeks ago. The first part of this session was shooting under the harsh sunlight and high temperature, yes..it was very hot; and the second part was windy and rainy - the weather changed totally! Nevertheless, I would like to thank God for I’ve managed to capture this session satisfyingly. This is absolutely one of my favorite engagement sessions! Amen!

For the idea and concept of this session, I designed it based on Kah Hian’s occupation. He is an air pilot with Singapore Airline, so, everything from the props to the background and the location are all very much related to him. On the other hand, Ching Yee is a TV news anchor and producer with 8TV, and when she is anchoring news on TV, it means she’s on-air. That’s why I named and themed this session – Love is in the Air!

Ching Yee and Kah Hian are so lovely, for they have made this session so easy and fun! Thanks for appreciating my art, folks!

Dear all, just an announcement here, starting from the next blog post, I will only post the photos but write less or none, it is because I prefer to shoot rather than to write, haha…!

It’s photos time!

Except for pre-wedding or engagement sessions, another all-time fave of mine is to shoot individual portrait sessions. This time around, it has been so easy, relax & fun, and as I’ve mentioned before, I especially love capturing human shots!

Individual portrait photo sessions are also the kind of session you can have for all seasons; for birthdays, as a gift for your loved ones, family or friends, just to keep them as sweet memories (very suitable for all different ages, no matter young or old) or even when you think you need a really great-looking profile image on your Facebook, that’s right! Everything meaningful and memorable is achievable with just a simple session like this!
